The grease needed to be changed a wk ago (frog legs tasted like old grease). Steak over cooked. Waitress said it was a bad night but we won?t find outif she was right. Oh and it?s overpriced even during current inflation for quality and service

Philly cheese steak for hubby looked delightful and said it tasted great. Tasty hush puppies served with both our meals as well. Greatatmosphere, great service, great food! We'll be back soon!

We arrived with friends and were seated immediately and served a basket of homemade potato chips w/homemade ranch dressing, they were great. Wife an I ordered fried oysters. I ordered fries with mine an a cup of she crabsoup. Oysters were fried lightly with a crunchy breading, nice, small, sweet bay oysters best ones I've eaten around here, frieswere decent. Now the she crab soup, an I've eaten a lot it with most being ok, only a few are great. This one is great, crushedblack pepper, small pieces of celery, in a creamy soup, oh and lumps of crabmeat, could have ate a bowl. Note, if you go andanyone close by should if you like seafood, everything is cooked to order so don't expect a fast food joint, believe me youwon't be disappointed. Bill with tip, $75, not bad for the service and what we got. Thanks again guy's, we'll be back!

The service is prompt and friendly, and treat you like family. And the food is ALWAYS the best quality and perfectly prepared. It's my favorite place to eat within 50 miles. I can't even say what's the best meal I've had there because everything has always been so deliciously perfect! Go and see for yourself, you will be happy you did!!

We take all our friends there and recommend Halterman's to clients. We've had almost every item on their menu and have NEVER been disappointed. Both the servers and kitchen staff are very kind and attentive. I HIGHLY recommend Halterman's to everyone!

However, I have nothing but positive things to report from our visit! I ordered the jumbo shrimp and substituted collard greens for the fries. The 5 jumbo shrimp were lightly breaded and cooked perfectly. But the collard greens stole the show! They were absolutely delicious! The two hush puppies that came with the lunch plate were also amazing and not greasy at all. The service was friendly, accurate and attentive. The prices seemed like they were a little high but it was certainly worth it. I'd go back again and try something different- like the seafood chowder I saw listed on the daily special board!

We have enjoyed seafood at many seafood restaurants in Virginia and Maryland but this restaurant in definitely one of the best. It was clean, service was great, food was plentiful and absolutely delicious! We ordered 1/2 pound steamed shrimp (they were jumbo) as an appetizer and one fried seafood platter to split for dinner. My husband had a side salad that was large, fresh and delicious. He also had a delicious baked potato, loaded. I had greens which were also excellent. The seafood platter was huge and perfectly cooked. We had 4 large fried shrimp, 3 scallops, one crab cake and two very large pieces of fish and hush puppies. We took enough leftovers home for another meal. We would highly recommend this restaurant. Bring a big appetite and enjoy! This is a gem of a restaurant!

The restaurant was clean and the service was very good as it had been the previous 2 times. My wife and daughter had the fried fish dinner. The fish was very tasty and plentiful. They both had to take leftovers home. It came with hush puppies which were excellent. My wife Is a hush puppy connesuer. I had the friend fish sandwich and was expecting a single slab of fish but instead it had two. It was served on a fresh, lightly toasted bun and was very good. All our meals came with homemade fries which were cooked nicely and not greasy. The waitress stopped by several times to check on us and responded quickly to our requests. Each dinner was moderately priced and was a good value for the quantity and quality received. We'll be back again. Don't be put off by the strip mall it's located in.
