we went last year to sri lanka and we were desperate to find something that would taste similar to what we ate there. the dishes here taste really good, they really forget that they are still in Germany! the personal is always super friendly! Moreover, it is not really an expensive resraurant, during the midday they have everything they can eat. I recommend it! edit: this restaurant has now become one of our favorite... View all feedback.

Mannheim is definitely not missing from Indian restaurants. But most of them mostly serve vegetable curries with Basmati rice. This place is a welcome change as it serves South Indian food. When reading the menu, I had no idea and no expectations. So I asked the waiter what was vegan (it does not say that on the menu, but the staff knows what vegan is standard or can be veganized). And the food I got was really great! It wasn't expensive either. So I will definitely try out other things on the menu.

Not your standard Indian cuisine. Less rice, more dough. I don't know how authentic it is or how much it affects Western palates, but it was nice for a change. Unfortunately, the dishes are not labeled as vegan in the menu, but since they have a sign outside that we offer vegan and Halal food I can trust that they really answer when you ask them for vegan or veganized dishes. There are also allergens that are marked in the menu so that you can look through these small superscript numbers, but sometimes you have them in the description and not in the name of the record. For example, there is a dish without an allergen declaration on behalf, but in the description it says fried in butter and behind butter you have the number for milk. This kind of tedious, but this keeps in mind the allergenic explanations seem reliable. And yes, as I said, the food is nice. I wasn't overly impressed, but I wouldn't think about eating again.
