Friendly and smiling semi-English-speaking bar/food server greeted us as we entered. We, having walked into from street, were looking for a good place to grab a beer and catch the futbol game. Cool decor, good beer and good food! Large selection/menu. Very casual and enjoyable atmosphere in the front cafe area with a larger restaurant that goes way back with an outside terrace. I'm not sure how to evaluate this place. they have one of the best burgers ever with a beautiful good part of meat and grilled paprika and zucchini. this is an option that never fails. her room is also due, especially outside. but. while I decided to try the tapas and I'll regain it. they were simply too cheap (but not in the price.) they served what was before cooked chicken wings from any discounter, a feta cheese that should be in the many, but was not, and so on. it would be a long list, but the conclusion is that everything is bought in each discounter and served so. They also offered what a homemade ice cream should be, but at the end was a mix of sweet powder juice. sometimes is better to offer fewer options, but keep their quality and face to the customers. the tapas have left a very bad impression. I'll be back for the burger, but I'm restless trying something else.
Sunday brunch in the brasserie bernstein turned out to be a pleasant surprise of our day in mannheim. it consisted of a buffet with a very good selection of cereals, pastries, hearty German warm dressed and excellent Mediterranean salads. they do not expect an overwhelming buffet, but there are any choice anyway. the atmosphere was excellent and relaxed with all age groups represented, the courtyard looked promising for warmer days. a few smaller points: a small practical point for families with young children: no device for changing winds. another observation was that the service was stressed and a little slow, yet friendly. the menu is very extensive with a standard menu, a tapas menu and a seasonal menu, maybe a little too much? we will test it!

I'm a bit unsure about how to rate this place. They have one of the best Burgers ever with a nice good portion of meat and grilled paprika and zucchini. This is an option that never fails. Their space is also pleasent, specially outside. However, last time I decided to try the tapas and I regreat it. They were simply too cheap (but not in the price). They served what seemed to be frozen pre cooked chicken wings from any discounter, a feta cheese that was supposed to be in the oven but was not, and so on...it would be a long list, but the conclusion is that everything seemed be bought in any discounter and served just like that...They also offered what was supposed to be a "home made ice tea" but in the end was an over sweetened powder juice mix. Sometimes is better to offer less options but keep their quality and face towards the clients...The tapas definitely left a very bad impression. I will be back for the burger but I'm uneasy to try anything else in there.
