The restaurant was very noisy, making it difficult to hear the person sitting across from me. The service was excellent and the food was tasty. However, I found the price of $5 for a sprinkle to be a bit high. We also paid $15 for broth for the four of us, and we agreed that it was not worth it and we wouldn't make the same mistake again. I had made a table reservation thru open table and went there on time. the booking was not shown in their system, which allowed us to wait some time there, then they arranged a table for us (6 people, went there at 17 o'clock. but when they were overbooked, they asked us to go to 7.30 a.m., what we really felt rude. this problem was solely on the booking mistakes they made, and I don't really want to accuse the restaurant.
The 'Bavarian ' used to be the beer garden of Manly no more. Table service has been axed and the live music DJ makes you think you are in Ibiza. We loved to go and chill, talk and feast at the previous 'venue ' but our latest visit (May 17) was different. You had to shout at each other to drone out the DJ; the service was gone and you had to fight at the counter to get your order in. Food has always been great and if you like German cuisine ... you should go. But the atmosphere now is gone.
Awesome experience every time we go; will always be my favorite!!! Excellent service.
