Plenty of seating and enjoyable atmosphere. Food was very good with generous portions. We had the fish tacos, the Cuban, the patty melt and a BLT. Everything was delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful. One opportunity for improvement. When we ordered drinks at the bar, the bartender offered to keep my card open so we could go to the food window and place our order. What Nicole A doesn't like about The Wharf Manitowoc:
Ok for a bar experience although as out of towners we had no idea, we thought we'd experience dining on the water but that side only had high tables and couldn't accommodate the disabled. We did eat outside, street side, in the wind because there was no canopy nor was there accommodations inside. Service was non-existent. You waited your own food and bussed your own table. When we picked up our food, there was no prompt to close out our bill and nobody ever came to our table to do so. That resulted in us inadvertently driving a good 20 30 minutes from the restaurant before discovering our error. When we called again, the staff were very understanding and accommodating. Would recommend some sort of process to remind customers to settle up before too much time goes by.
Great live music venue on the riverfront with Lake Michigan in the background.
Cool place. Great view. Great food. We had cheese curds for appetizer shrimp tacos for our meal. The food was excellent. I would high recommend this place will return if I’m ever up this way again.

Shrimp tacos were delicious but only non-alcoholic drinks were off the kids menu, ironically.
Right across the river from the museum, so great location. Terrible food and a ridiculous wait time despite almost no customers and two workers in the kitchen. It 's a glorified take-out with a bar. You order at a window by the sign that says 30 minute wait for food and then go pick it up when they feel like getting around to it. Very limited menu. Mushroom swiss burger was served cold (slab of cheese was just sitting on the three mushroom slices, unmelted) and the meat was grainy and tasteless. Lettuce that came with it was brown. Hubby 's cheeseburger was the worst I ever had. And also cold. And they had the nerve to ask for tips.
