Boot Jack Tavern - Feedback

Was Diane Crosley at Boot Jack Tavern a mag?
This restaurant has a warm, family-friendly atmosphere that makes us feel at ease whether we're dining as a couple or bringing our grandkids along. The service was quick and welcoming. The only downside was that there were no desserts available during our visit. Aside from that, the food was excellent. The Bootjack has become our favorite spot for dinner. What Anne Hauge dislikes about Boot Jack Tavern:
I get sick every time I eat here, but it really does taste good. The changes to the menu are frustrating, as many of the best items are no longer available. Even the make-your-own burger is off the menu now. View all feedback.

It was a lovely spot! I definitely plan to return. The service was quick and friendly! The cheese curds were the best I’ve ever tasted. I ordered the sarge's catch; the perch was of excellent quality, but the breading was quite greasy, soggy, and fell off easily. The burger and sandwich at the table looked fantastic, and I was told they were really tasty.

Fantastic restaurant with incredible Wisconsin cheese curds! Whenever we visit, we make sure to order the cheese curds. Their bacon, egg, and cheese burger is also excellent. Additionally, they offer a nice variety of craft beers. Just a tip: if you prefer your meat cooked medium-well, it's best to request it rare. That's the only drawback.
Very disappointed in the menu and our meal... the menu is very limited. The building is cute, but the dining room was dirty. The draught list is nice and they had a great cider on tap. The local cheese curds were delicious! But, the rest of our dinner was horrible! The medium hamburger was raw and the well done hamburger was burnt to a crisp, the house chips were way over salted and the fries were a disappointment. The waitress was new, but she was trying. We have no complaints with her. They weren't busy at all, but said that they were short handed to explain the dirt and how long it took to get our drinks. The location is great and we like the local drinks on draught. We want to like it, but it will be difficult to go back for a meal.
Good food and good staff ratio, how busy they were! Food: 4/5
**Restaurant Review: A Mixed Bag of Experiences** Nestled in a charming location, this restaurant boasts a warm, family-friendly atmosphere complemented by a great selection of local drinks on tap. Diners have raved about the delicious cheese curds and standout burgers, though opinions on other menu items have been mixed. While the service is generally quick and friendly, some have noted issues with meal preparation and consistency. A limited and changing menu has frustrated regulars, with the absence of desserts during visits being a notable downside. Despite these hiccups, there’s a hopeful sentiment that the restaurant can improve and become a favorite spot for many.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The service was excellent, and the food was prepared perfectly with generous portion sizes. For dinner, it was a great value at around $20–30 per person. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a solid 5!

This restaurant offers a wonderful dining experience by the lake, with a fantastic atmosphere. I dined in for dinner, and the price per person was around $20–30. The food was impressive, earning a perfect score of 5, and the service matched that with another 5. The ambiance was equally delightful, also a 5. I highly recommend trying the pulled pork. As for parking, there is plenty available in a free parking lot.

I absolutely love this place! The food and atmosphere are perfect for a coastal gathering. We ordered the Cowboy Burger and shared it, which was great. We also requested a small order of onion rings, and they were happy to accommodate us. The onion rings are simply delicious! A must-try!
