Dairy Queen - Manistee

When we finally received our first Blizzard, it was a mess. They had spilled chocolate all over the outside because they forgot to add it initially and attempted to mix it in afterward. One of the workers grabbed a cup from another employee, scraped off some ice cream, added chocolate, and tried to re-stir it. I had to step in and insist they throw it away and start fresh because we wouldn't accept it. To make matters worse, we were informed that one of the sandwiches we ordered (the third one, since the first two were unavailable) was also out of stock. At that point, we decided to cancel both sandwiches and request a refund. The staff member refunded us for one sandwich but gave us less than we had initially paid, claiming she pressed the wrong button on the register. She then insisted we hadn't ordered two sandwiches and was reluctant to refund us for the second one. We had to firmly insist on our right to a proper refund. Overall, a frustrating experience!

We ordered two packs and two blooming onions, but they informed us that the wraps and the triple truffle blizzard were unavailable. We also ordered two different sandwiches, but one of them came with chocolate spilled all over the outside. The staff attempted to fix it by adding chocolate to another cup, but it was a mess, and I had to insist that we wouldn’t accept it. To make matters worse, we were then told that the third sandwich we ordered was also unavailable. At that point, we decided to forget both sandwiches and just asked for a refund. The employee processed a refund for one sandwich, but it was for less than what we originally paid. She claimed it was because she pressed the wrong button on the register. Then she argued that we hadn’t ordered two sandwiches and refused to refund the second one. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience."

I live right near this restaurant, and the owners really dedicate themselves to it. There are always long lines and plenty of happy faces.

The service was excellent. It's a popular spot located just a few blocks from downtown Manistee. Additionally, Lite House Park and Manistee Beach are only about a mile down the street.

My wife and I enjoyed some small Blizzards, and they were fantastic. If you're a fan of soft serve ice cream, I highly recommend trying them!
