I have not had the requirement to soundly critique a food establishment but this one needs some help. My belief is due to their location they have been able to coast on unsuspecting tourists looking for Asian food. Here is the real goods. The service is absolutely lackluster. During my time there no one filled up my wine glass. I know, what a diva, but at the end of the day I am paying above market for mediocre wine so stop lurking in the doorway and fill up my wine glass. The last time I checked that is your job. The food is mediocre and excessively salty. The chillies are not spicy. Ordered the fried rice and all I received was bland white rice with a modicum of egg at least add a few veggies and more egg. So bland. The chicken and broccoli was excessively salty and the chicken over cooked. Not great at all. Finally there was a lady with a yappy pomeranian on the patio and while she was on her phone her dog was constantly barking. I spoke to one of the robot servers and they were like nothing I can do . Well here is some news, yes you can do something. You are affecting the entire patio because you don 't have the backbone to say anything. Also quite expensive for the food quality and quantity.

Very busy restaurant and we were lucky to be seated outside. Good food and extensive choice of menu. Would definitely go thete again but ask for guidance in the Japanese section as it looks very interesting.

Today was our first visit to Fu, it was quite late, 5pm, and a neighbouring Irish place denied. But Fu was kind to receive us. We decided to order day menu not to make it complicated for them. It was a real surprise- a lot of food- spring rolls, Duck of peking with pancakes, vegetables and sause, fried shrimps, chicken in sweet-sour sauce, fried rice with egg and vegetables, rice chips as appetiser and chopitos of digestive as compliment. Everything was freshly cooked, tasty and authentic. The price for that all was 29.90 for us two plus drinks. pint of beer, or a big glass of wine around 3 euros

Some of the food was nice I will start by saying that. However they provide allergen guides on the menu and they are not accurate. This is not a good idea and the should either update them all so that they are correct or remove them completely. Sent Udon noodles back because they arrived with chicken even though meat is not listed on the menu. Explained they were for a vegan and when they brought a fresh dish back it had egg in it. So, not good for anyone with an allergy.

I ate and learned about Chinese restaurants many years ago in London’s Chinatown. Those with long memories will recall Wong Kei with its great food and unbearably rude waiters. All part of the ambiance! This restaurant has a touch of that, which is in many ways no longer acceptable. This part of the Costa del Sol has many Chinese restaurants, and most are pretty awful. Not this one. Food is overall very nice, with a good variety and strongly differentiated flavours. However, the service leaves much to be desired and without charm. Across the Port is a much inferior restaurant that is generally packed, even though the food is very much inferior. My feeling is it is down to the service. Restaurant Fu’s management should look and learn, as generally there are far fewer diners, and my guess is there is only one reason.
