I love Mexican cuisine, and this place is great. I live in slidell, but if I find myself in the opposite of mandeville, I often stop here for lunch or dinner. eating is excellent, and the service is friendly. View all feedback.
What Keith Harris doesn't like about El Rancho Mexican Grill:
Quality was under par. Was not long, not near the quality it was earlier. Everything tasted the same and Bland. Only reason to give 2 stars is that the service was good. Don't go back View all feedback.
The personal and service are excellent and the best. Favourite place, eating is amazing, evething is delicious and their deceptions are incredible
The quality was disappointing; it was not up to the standard it used to be. Everything tasted bland and similar. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because the service was good. I won't be returning.
The food was absolutely delicious, but I was a bit disappointed by the portion sizes. I ordered three steak tacos: the first one was overloaded with onions instead of steak, the second had a more balanced filling but didn't even cover the tortilla entirely, and the third was just right. I took pictures of the last two, but I couldn't resist eating the first one right away! The salsa was rather bland, and I felt it needed a lot more cilantro—most places skimp on that for my taste, but this salsa hardly had any at all, just tomato. The rice and beans were tasty, though. The cheese on the tacos was incredible—so creamy and flavorful! The staff was also very friendly.
We placed our food order, which arrived promptly and was accurate. While we were eating, the table next to us ordered a Dos Equis lager on draft, and their server promptly brought it to them. The food was good, but after finishing, we waited 25 minutes before I had to track down another waitress to get our bill and to-go boxes. When our original waitress dropped off the bill, she carelessly stacked the dirty plates right on top of the food we wanted to take home. The bill was hard to read due to faded ink, but the dollar amounts written on the side were a bit clearer. A total of $64 seemed off, but at that point, I just wanted to leave. Once home, I calculated what we actually ordered, and the total didn’t add up — I was charged for the beer I never received. Having worked in various roles in the restaurant industry for many years, I believe that customer service is just as crucial as the quality of food. The service we experienced here was awful and significantly diminished our dining experience. It was very disappointing.
I'm from NYC, Louisiana. Wow! The most delicious Tortilla soup I've ever had! Great service and beautiful decoration.
