The service w... read more At the pilot flying j truck stop there is a little restaurant inside named the rolling hills restaurant. The restaurant itself is small but clean. The service was good. They were very busy when we went. When our food came out it was better then expected. Everything was perfectly cooked not over done. This is one of our new food stops in North Dakota. Highly recommend a stop.

I loved the Knoephla bread bowl soup and the Fleischkuechle sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. Everything was delicious. I will definitely be visiting again soon.

First off I know places are understaffed but that wasn't the case here. This place is a joke. Our waiter took our order and once we received our food it was OK. Nothing too hot or warm. My husband said they over cooked his steak. Our party didn't receive their food till someone in our group said something. After the waiter took our order he never came back to the table to check on us. We had to get up and ask him (twice) for items we were missing. My son wanted white milk instead of chocolate milk and didn't get it till after the meal. My husband and I order kneophla soup and asked our waiter about it because we did not receive it. We still never got it. We were lucky to get anything after asking twice. We told him we wanted the bill split up and we had to draw it out for him. It clearly wasn't his first day either. It seemed like he didn't care. Poor service. Will not be back.

Best diner in Bismarck and Mandan area for sure!
