Black Temple - Mandalay

The price is mid-hight range. The food itself is ok, not wow but not bad.

Maybe the worst experience with a restaurant. Ever. The staff is kind even though they don't know a single English word. That's the only positive about this place. Our meal was terrible. Maybe traditional, but.. our chicken were basically just bones with a sauce and beef super chewy and sinewy. We gave it a try but had to walk away with a full plate. We were also given additional soup and melon, which they added to our bill afterwards, even though we didn't ask for it. Cutlery, cups and plates all packed in a plastic sh! . Seriously?

It's the best in town. A must go when you are in Mandalay! Managed by a lady from Kachin.

Great Kachin food. Wonderful rice served wrapped in banana leaf, fried mashed potato balls and roast ribs. Very good selection of fresh fruit juices (no sugar added) and very nice traditional decor

It is a bit pricey but it's worth it, the food, ambience, the cleaningness.
