Good to be out again at last. A family meal on safe ground. Food nice as usual and not too busy. Safe and reliable choice. You won’t be bowled over by the food but you won’t be disappointed either View all feedback.
What Passionate Owners doesn't like about Gusto:
Nicely presented restaurant in Didsbury Village, very welcoming staff, Jenna who served us was excellent ! Just a 3 though, food quite mediocre and a little below par for the aesthetic, which is really very comfortable. The Caesar salad really should be better, pizzas just OK (So many good pizza places nowadays that are truly Neapolitan), the gnocchi not light at all and the portion a little too small, and my wife’s... Food was OK. Small portions. January deal confusing in the extreme It is not 50% off . Tip.is calculated on full price The bill is presented in a manner that you can make any sense of it We paid over £90 for our meal at 50% deduction and free birthday drinks I certainly will not be returning for what was mediocre fare
Group of 7 adults and 2 teenagers on a Saturday night. We had to pay a £10pp deposit up front which I understand. The restaurant was bouncing and the staff were run off their feet but James did a fantastic job looking after us. Drinks were a bit slow coming but the food was really good and the atmosphere was great. Everybody agreed that it was a brilliant evening and the restaurant was perfect for it!
This place has been around for a long time now and while other establishments come and go, Gusto still manages to serve up excellent food, delicious wines and amazing cocktails. AND the service (from many long-serving staff) continues to be brilliant. The waiting and bar team are all really friendly and the food is generally excellent and it’s reliable. Whether it’s a midweek early dinner (tea) or lunch, a Sunday roast or a celebration meal, Gusto has you covered. Long may it continue
Nicely presented restaurant in Didsbury Village, very welcoming staff, Jenna who served us was excellent ! Just a 3 though, food quite mediocre and a little below par for the aesthetic, which is really very comfortable. The Caesar salad really should be better, pizzas just OK (So many good pizza places nowadays that are truly Neapolitan), the gnocchi not light at all and the portion a little too small, and my wife’s pasta was cooked with way too much garlic. We weren’t unhappy, and Jenna’s positivity was appreciated, just really ordinary food.
Just Brillant amazing pizzas and drinks. The mocktails are perfect and really make the non-alcohol lovers feel involved because of the additional care put into the drinks. Service is mid and could do with some additional staffing but altogether a positive and enjoyable evening
