Fancied nipples for some beers and a fast tea. This place attracted all the boxes. It was cool inside (temperature) after a hot day. There was also a nice mood. The order on the counter was simple and looked like people with good chat with those who work. Food was great, really delicious. It also saw a good place to sit outside. Order this hot red Thai chicken Curry View all feedback.
What Jeremy Lind doesn't like about Appan Cafe Vivid Lounge:
Probably the worst bar I've ever been to. The staff were so rude and acted like us being there was a hindrance to them, at one point they decided they weren't going to serve us drinks, the regular punters acted like they owned the place, a guy started hitting me and my friends and the manager threw us out and not the guy who hit us, there were people sat on the floor because they didn't have enough seats for everyone... Great place to eat. Authentic Thai dishes. 10 stars customer service. All the best for the owners. 10/10
This my “playproof” place from breakfast to dinner. They make a British fusion kitchen and the results are excellent. My favourite dishes are: Mango pancakes (yummi) pad thai( rice noodles stir fry with shrimps, bean sprouts, peanuts, chilis and fresh lime: for dying).
Most authentic Thai food in Manchester. Slightly higher prices justified by the quality and care into making the food.
My husband and I ordered the fish curry bowl and the pad Thai to share. The fish curry had only fish balls not actual fillets of fish in it and the balls were kinda chewy. I wouldn’t recommend ordering this. The pad Thai was excellent but it was a small portion. We were still hungry when we left. Also, this is a very casual place and doesn’t have ambiance. (It was too cold to sit outside. It’s great for a quick meal but not a place you’d take a date or friends visiting from out of town.
Good but not outstanding. Had the massam beef curry which was OK and homemade green Thai chicken curry. Both were fair, but didn't set my world on fire. Had the pork short ribs to start, thought they were a little none descriptive in taste. Waiters however were very friendly and helpful.
