Alaqsa Takeaway - Manchester

Me and wife went there i had pizza which was good but mix kebab was very dry and absolutely nothing special and extremely expensive. But staff was courteous

With so much good choice up n down Stockport Road; It could even beat the hustle and bustle of Wilmslow Road in terms of food and service!! I've been to Al-Aqsa a few times this year and this particular visit was stunning. Hence the need for a well earned 5 star review. Interesting refurbishment downstairs and now completed upstairs. Love the small sink downstairs in the corner to wash hands. We ordered the double kobeda, chicken kebab and Qabli pilau. Delicious Washed down with ayran and then cava (tea flavoured with mint and cardamons). Surprised at reading the 1 star bad reviews below. Probably trolls as it's the only single review done.

I have always enjoyed the food in the past, but the service has declined in recent visits. My most recent visit was so disappointing that I actually left the restaurant!

I ordered the kobeda naan while my husband had it with rice at the restaurant. Unfortunately, we found it to be bland. The amount of oil used was overwhelming and the aroma was off-putting. I tried to dab off the oil with napkins but it was still unappetizing. It ended up giving me an upset stomach. My daughter had the right idea by sticking to the basic chicken burger and chips, though even that was mediocre. Overall, I would not go back to this restaurant again.

The restaurant was delightful, with fantastic customer service. We had a great time and will definitely be returning soon. Thank you very much.
