Wonderful food and views from the dining area. Super attentive service. All food cooked to order and excellent quality. Special mention for the lobster roll. Great quality and value. CIA chefs and great prices. Hard to beat! We only ate at the restaurant so no review of rooms etc. Food drinks: Wonderful lobster roll. Brioche not hot dog bun. High quality. Half the price of similar in Maine Rooms: 5

We had such a great stay here! It’s important to note that the current ownership only took over in 2022- it seems like any negative reviews are from well before that time. The rooms were cozy and homey. At night they light the fire pits out back, so guests can enjoy the lovely outdoor space. And best of all, the family includes trained pastry chefs who make the bread and other baked goods for breakfast FRESH on site. The service was incredibly friendly as well; we realized when we woke up that we had missed breakfast, but we ran into the owner downstairs and she still made us something to eat! Such a lovely family business and a magical place to stay in summer time- I’m sure winter is great as well, given the proximity to so many ski resorts.
Vicky and her team provided our family of four an amazing experience while staying at Stone Hearth. The food was incredible, the backyard is gorgeous, and the atmosphere was serene and loving. They went above and beyond to take care of us. We highly recommend this inn. It is a true gem in Vermont. Not to mention, who doesn't love it when your innkeeper has an English accent! Rooms: 5
