We frequently visit Thai Basil in Manchester, VT, especially when we're in the mood for vegetables. No other restaurant in Manchester offers a healthy veggie bowl like they do. View all feedback.
Kim K. charged us a 10% tip on our takeout order and tried to cover up the tip by putting it as “ ”. When confronted she shortly said it was gratuity and then very quickly switched the topic to how they charge 3 for credit card processing fee and how we could waive it by paying with cash. She continued to yap about the credit card fee (which is normal and we didn’t care about it) for the remainder of the interaction to take our minds off of the unwanted gratuity. She was rude and looked pissed off the whole time. You can’t really fight this since it’s a local place and she earlier expressed that she knew the chef when making adjustments to our food. They’d probably spit in our food or something. Food wasn’t bad but just alright. Disappointed in the attitude from the server Kim K. and how she tried to sneakily cheat a customer.
Absolutely loveThai Basil, the food is incredibly fresh and so delicious. Service is always outstanding. Highly recommend a visit. Vegetarian options: Great options and if you have a request they are terrific.
We arrived around 7:45 p.m.. We were seated within the wait window that we were given upon arrival. We waited at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and attentive. When the table became available we were quickly seated and appetizer order taken. The appetizer was served quickly and our entree orders were made. The food was very good. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. The only decrease in stars was for atmosphere due to the loud environment perhaps some soft surfaces to help absorb some of the noise. There were occasions where it was difficult to hear the people at my own table.
I vitiated Thai Basil at 1:30 on a Tuesday, There were a few people there already eating inside. My Wife and I, sat outside next to the road, it was very nice and clean. We both ordered the Wonton soup (best wonton soup I’ve ever had so far. I got a cold glass of switchback for $5.50 everywhere else around here it’s at least $8. We shared the Khao Soi Duck meal for $45… 100% worth it. Filled both of us up after the soup and took leftovers home which I just finished. 10/10 would recommend to anyone, tons of different options. They gave us a cup of rice on the house with our meal and we’re just so very nice, the past 5 times I’ve been there.
The vegetarian menu at Thai Basil Restaurant is quite extensive. Best part is it's located near the outlet, and the food is amazing. Vegetarian options: Impressive food.
