I have dined at the restaurant a half dozen times and have enjoyed each visit. The staff are all very friendly and personable. They have a great variety of combo plates you can order from. The General Gau's Chicken is my favorite dish so far. View all feedback.
What J Dean doesn't like about Golden Tao:
There isn't much to say. The service was okay. Average for take out. We volunteer get through on the phone so we had to go there and order and wait for the take out. They didn't seemed concerned that the phone wasn't working. More importantly the food was not very good. It was fatty. Didn't have a great taste either. The chicken fingers were gristly too. Just not worth it. View all feedback.
The Golden Tao is a real treat! Start with one of their delicious soups such as Minced Beef in Thick Soup. The flavors meld perfectly in a warm bowl with tender minced meat and subtle flavors that are not too salty. Then move on to a hunger quinching appetizer, such as the Crab Rangoon. The first bite is crispy and then the creamy filling is soft and flavorful. Also enjoy the Chicken Fingers. They taste like they're made fresh everyday and have a slight buttery flavor that will make you want more. Finally, enjoy one of their many main dishes. The Sweet Sour Pork in Hong Kong Style has a tangy, not to sweet taste, that balances the tender pork wrapped in a crispy coating. The Chicken Egg Foo Young has a light and fluffy egg batter that is loaded with tasty pieces of chicken. Feeling adventurous, try the salty and spicy pork chop. The spices will tickle your taste buds and the pork is fried to a succulent flavor. The Golden Tao offers a tasty Dim Sum on the weekends. They also serve delicious hot pot dinners. You can tell I like this place. The prices are reasonable, the staff is excellent, and the food is consistently yummy!
I found this gem by accident while driving around Manchester. My son and I stopped to try it out. We go here about once a week for lunch. The staff are great to talk with, the food is the best I 've had in years. We try to taste a different meal each time we go and haven 't had a bad meal yet. I would certainly recommend this restaurant to my friends and anyone that asks, 'where is the best Chinese food in NH '.
My husband ate in for lunch and he had egg drop soup, teriyaki beef, boneless ribs, and pork fried rice. He loved it all so much that he called me and asked what I'd like for him to bring home for me and our daughter for dinner. I got the same meal minus the soup and added an egg roll and our daughter got some sweet and sour chicken. This is by far the best Chinese food we have ever tasted!!! We live almost an hour away but I guarantee we will be going back!! : Try this restaurant....you won't be disappointed!!
First started going here when they first opened a few years ago. Now we won't go anywhere else. The women who owns it is amazing! She's always been so good to us. I have also had a health inspector tell me that this is the cleanest Chinese restaurant in Manchester. Food is amazing! Best part they almost always have an English speaking person to answer the phones, and my order has never been incorrect.
Best chinese on the west side hands down food is awesome fast and friendly service, highly recommended!
