The food here is always great and the service is quick. The waitresses do a great job attending to their customers and you never have to wait long to be served. If you visit, I recommend the Farmers grits and any of their Florentine egg dishes. Also, they allow dogs to sit with their owners outside and the wait staff loves animals. View all feedback.
What Leif Feeney doesn't like about Center Scoop Ice Cream:
To break today. there was no line when we came in. There were 3 empty tables. and 4 seats at the bar. waited at the door like 3 to 5 minutes nobody said a word. although she was on the front counter. and then we were told that we had to put our name on a waiting list. in a rude sound. So I went to the counter and waited again like 3 minutes before she asked if she could help. I said I'd put my name on a list. Then sh... View all feedback.
The ice is excellent. there are also the usual favorite and creative. I think this egg is as good as We-Lik-it eis in pomfret, connecticut.
We loved this place over the years, but went downhill with quality and standards. We were also clearly forgotten because the restaurant was not even busy and waited for almost 30 minutes to take our orders as the waitress was sitting there eating behind the bar. Used to love the family atmosphere of this place, hopefully it will be better before it gets worse.
Nice place in good location in Manchester. There are limited outsides that are perfect for the day we went! Not many places serve Grits in New England and Central Perk serves warm and local Farmer's Grits!
Do not sit outside unless you want to be forgotten, or you have nothing else planned, and or you do not hunger. I asked her how long the waiting period would be twice for food and didn't get much of an answer. I sat outside because there was a waiting time to sit inside. After waiting for a few minutes, I got a menu, then shortly afterwards I had to order. I told the person that I was in a hurry, it will take a long time, they said no. I waited 15 minutes and was told it was a few minutes. Then in 20 minutes I asked for an eta, I was told it would be another 10-15 minutes. At this point I decided to go because it shouldn't take 35-40 minutes for food unless they forget about me. I'm so irritated and hungry?
I was initially drawn to this restaurant because of its name. It's a small establishment run by women, but they seem to be short-staffed. This place specializes in breakfast. We opted for takeout and ordered omelettes with chicken as the protein. Unfortunately, the chicken was incredibly dry, which took away from the overall enjoyment of the omelette. The fries and toast were decent, and the coffee was also quite good. However, the dry chicken really impacted our overall experience negatively.
