While heading home from Galena to Des Moines, I discovered a hidden gem of a restaurant named Emmy's on the way. Despite initially struggling to locate it, I eventually found the cozy spot next to April's. Despite incorrect directions from SIRI, I was pleased to come across Emmy's and enjoyed a delicious sandwich during my visit. View all feedback.
What Hannah Wendling doesn't like about Aunt Emmy’s Cafe:
I absolutely adore the ambiance and the staff here. However, $10.50 for a panini with cream cheese, cheese, and thinly sliced bacon seems quite steep to me. I was hoping for more meat in my sandwich considering the price. Additionally, the portion of kids' Mac n cheese was so small that it didn't even fill up my 1-year-old daughter. View all feedback.
The lattes are very tasty. They have oat milk as a milk substitute option but it is not on the menu.
Excellent service, food, goodies and much much more. Its your one stop shop, for every special occasion.

I drove for an hour only to discover that the restaurant was closed. It would have been helpful if they had the additional closed dates posted. I will have to plan another day to return and collect my Caffeine Crawl stamp.
