I had never been to this Winn-Dixie location. I was in the area leaving a doctor's appointment around the corner at intercoastalmedical. So I went into the Winn... read more I had never been to this Winn-Dixie location. I was in the area leaving a doctor's appointment around the corner at intercoastalmedical. So I went into the Winn-Dixie. I noticed they had a self checkout. noticed two employees standing by us. I'll check out. went walked around the store. retrieved my item but also noticing those two employees were looking at me. So I went to some checkout. One of the employees immediately started talking to me. asking if I had a rewards card. which of course I did. I was pulling it up on my app so I can use the mystery bonus but she kept study telling me I could just put my phone number in. And I had to explain to her. I'm trying to do the bonus. So then I start scanning my items, all the while this employees standing there talking to me about the rewards program that I'm obviously familiar with. with. She just kept talking as I'm scanning and I got distracted by her talking that I went to scan and item and it didn't scan and I put it into my bag and then she came back at me asking had I scanned the item. So I looked at the screen and I said Oh no it didn't scan so then I scanned it. put it in a bag. paid for my items and told her to have a good day and walked out. as I was walking out. that's when I realized she wasn't having casual conversation with me. she was just watching to make sure I scanned all my items. as a professional black woman, a social worker, a master's level social worker, I found this offensive. Winn-Dixie you need to give your employees some cultural diversity training. And I shall never visit that store again. never had that experience and all my life of living and manatee Sarasota county.

I use self... read more The cleanest Winn Dixie I’ve ever been in but over the worst selections. Also could you please not come up and ask me if I have rewards at checkout? I use self checkout because I don’t want to talk to people while I’m shopping.
