Casa Maya Mexican - Manatee County

I didn't like the fact the place passes on the Credit card charges to customers. I won't go there anymore.

Very disappointingPseudoTaco bell !!!Ordered tacos. No salsa included.Taco Bell has better flavor. Hate to Say this but kind kind of reminds me of high school cafeteria tacos.Lady at the front taking my order seemed to be bothered that I was ordering. I asked her for a suggestion beef or chicken and she told me “ you just have to choose what you prefer” lolYou get more for your money at Taco Bell.I have eaten at hundreds of Mexican restaurant and also lived in New Mexico for over 20 years. Lakewood ranch is desperate for a descent Mexican restaurant

Great mexican food. Try the house specilty in the volcanicbowl.

The first time we ate there wasn't that great, but I know all places have off days so we gave it a second try. The second time was worse. The sevice was poor, and the food was bland and exactly like I remembered, mediocre. We were seated quickly but waited and waited for our server to come as other tables around us who were seated after us were served several rounds of drinks and even their food. Some even finished eating and left before our waitress came back the 2nd time to see if we wanted to order our food. We won't be going back.

We were downtown Lakewood Ranch and ran across a very nice art show. Then we found Casa Maya and we were very pleased with this restaurant. Veronica was friendly and seated us where I had asked her to. The chips came warm and they were great. The salsa was mild and not too garlicky. 5 . My tacos were really good and they were packed with plenty of meat. I was only able to eat 2 of 3. The fried rice was cooked perfect and tasted great. Wife’s chimichanga was very good and the beans were good. 5 . The margarita was really good. Had great flavor and the right amount of alcohol $8.95 . Veronica was great, food great , atmosphere was great. Will we go back? Hell yes and you should too.
