Contribute FeedbackToms is a small-town diner that has a charmingly dated décor. The staff is sweet and accommodating, giving a homey feel to the place. While some feel the food is greasy and subpar, others enjoy the classic homemade dishes served up by friendly waitstaff. Despite the outdated appearance, the service is excellent and the food is hot and tasty. If you're in the mood for standard diner fare or breakfast all day, Toms might just hit the spot for you.
Exactly what a diner should be no frills, friendly people, quick service, great food, and good prices. Can’t ask for anything better!
It was hard to find or to locate where parking is supposed to be.
Having seen this spot many times over the years, but never stopping in, I decided to go for breakfast one weekday, while I was in the area. There only seemed to be two employees working; the cook and the server, but service was still quite prompt. When I got there, there was only one other person dining in there, but by the time I left, there were many others and several more tables sat. They also seemed to have a few take-out orders pop in while there, so they clearly do a decent business. The menu is typical, basic diner fare, nothing creative nor unique. I opted for a bacon, egg, cheese sandwich on English muffin and it was pretty good. The breakfast potatoes that I got as a side were nicely done, with a little crusty fry on the sides, which I really like. Overall, it was decent.
The waitress was nice enough, but it's a low-cost homie location that has raised its prices like everyone else. Not totally clean, especially in the bathroom, and everything is dated. Sort of like an out of the past diner that has not modernized. Food was okay.
Good food, great service, but needs a lot of work on the building. Maintenance is clearly lacking
