Great food but service painfully slow. But don’t let that keep you from coming and eating here. Just be very patient. We had to ask for utensils, napkins, common sense items that should be on the table. Maybe the server was new?My husband and I shared the Molcajete and we still had food to take home. Go for the corn tortillas they taste way better than the flour. Yet again most flour tortillas here on the east coast a... View all feedback.
What Nancy Crespo doesn't like about El Rey Tolteca:
Place is beautiful. They need to train their servers. This young lady brings a hot orange juice. I have to ask for a cup and ice. Food had very little flavor. Mind you Mexican is my favorite food. Rice was mushy. Maybe their cook was off today bc the chicken had no flavor, placed in a tortilla with no condiments and my granddaughter had her tortilla burned. Waste of time and money. Rough experience when I took my family here for dinner. I dont see this restaurant making it much longer. Went there for dinner on a Friday night and we were the only ones in the dining area. I ordered chicken wings as an appetizer and when they arrived was told that they didnt have ranch or blue cheese dressing to offer so I ended up packing up the wings to go. Then when I asked for mushrooms to be added to my meal I was told that they were also out of mushrooms (but they have a mushroom and cheese quesadilla on their menu). 3 people at the table reported that their food was too salty to eat. Just not a good experience. Service was slow and waitress was unapologetic over any shortcomings. Dietary restrictions: Not many available. Not even a good salad. I am keto and almost every meal came with toritlla, rice and beans. I understand this is typical fare for a Mexican restaurant, but I have always easily been able to order at least a salad that was within my diet. Not much here unless you want the traditional carb load.

Gotta be the most “whitest”Mexican restaurant Iv ever been to.. the salsa is store bought “pace” no Mexican cooked in the bottle and the tortillas are the worse Iv ever eaten maybe I’m just a lil biased cause I’m from
Friendly people, great atmosphere and excellent food. If you want real mexican food, I highly recommend.
