Colombian Cafe Bakery Bbq - Manalapan

Me and my wife were very excited to see this restaurant and were impressed by the looks of it. Even the food being brought out looks so so good. We spent close to $60.00 for the two of us so not cheap food. Really expecting for a really good treat. Found out the food has let us down. Both my wife and I are Hispanic and love our Latin foods. Hard to find that in Manalapan so we were so disappointed in the food. Not a single thing had flavor. Very dry and not a single bit of flavor. Even the rice and beans were disappointing. In Hispanic culture..how can you not make rice and beans the right way?!? I gave two stars because the service was good and platanos was good. Dessert but not our favorite as well. For a Columbian restaurant we were expecting burst of flavors. I guess the places to still go to is BoundBrook. Just sucks all the good Latin Restaurants are so far. We do not recommend you spend money at this restaurant. Stick to the Italian and Chinese restaurants you know in Manalapan.

Great service! Food was delicious!! Was there today and got some lunch. Had some beef and chicken empanadas that were to die for and for my lunch an avocado salad with steak. Everything was so fresh and steak was very well seasoned. Service was great! Was sure that i had everything I needed and made sure I was fully satisfied. Overall everything about colombian cafe was amazing. Definitely will be back with the family for dinner to try there new steak on a stone!!!

I went this morning for coffee and something to eat. The lady offered me something called ?buñuelo? it was very good. The coffee was excellent. She steamed the milk and the mixed with the coffee. The place was spotless clean. So I?m gonna start with 5 stars. I will go back for dinner with my family and the will see if the 5 stars stay on. So far nothing bad to add.

This place has the best Buenuelos outside of Colombia! The coffee is delicious as well. My next order will definitely include the Bandeja Paisa and a fish entree which I am sure will be produce another positive review!

This restaurant is very clean and the food was just good not overly excellent. Two reasons why I took off two stars. One reason is because it took a long time to get our food and there were mistakes (due to a new employee and we did have a big order). The second reason is because I felt their sancocho meat was dry and flavorless. In my opinion the food in general needs a tad bit more flavoring. Other then that they were very friendly and clean.
