This restaurant was fantastic. Every dish was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. The potato soup, grilled Caesar salad, rib-eye steak, and pumpkin creme brulee were all outstanding. I can't say enough good things about this dining experience. View all feedback.
Wow wow wow! we have really had luck finding the lakefront through a google maps search while we are in mammoth lakes. we were hungry and wanted something unique to dinner. we came after tamarack lodge an hour before the opening of the restaurant and all bookings of the night were already made. the personal of the reception was friendly and gracious, they built a beautiful fire in the huge lodge camein and invited us to stay awile (the wind woke out over the lake we decided to just relax and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere. Finally, the lodge lobby bar opened and we enjoyed great drinks (wonderful local and international wine selection) waiting after about an hour, let us know that there was a cancellation in the lakefront and we were sitting for dinner! everything about the meal was perfect gracious and interesting server, beautiful view of the sea and trees, delicious and unique meal. all our servers were friendly and attentive, without being intrusive (perfektes timing.) I think my favorite meal was the sparing bisque suppe, but frankly everything we ordered was amazing. also the butter with the fresh warm brot was unusual (salt and sweet.) I had the berkshire pork chop with blueberries/gravy sauce, my man had the rock sugar braided short ribs. both were cooked to perfection, had interesting aromas and were nice to see. there is something on the menu for adventurous esser, as well as for non-meat eating. my only regret was that I simply couldn't make it to taste the deserts. I am positiw that they would have been as delicious as the whole meal. we were never rushed, I felt we could have stayed longer if we wanted, although it was a very small place with a waiting list of reservations. we have relaxed, satisfied, well maintained and well fed. a wonderful culinary experience and we will definitely be the next time in mammoth! many thanks for the great experience. kudos to the chef!
My wife, family friends have blessed by the incredible fine dinning presented by Lakefront for over 30-yrs... this is without any reservation the most exquisite dinning in the all of the mountain...!!!
Took my family here to celebrate my wife’s birthday and they did not disappoint. The setting was perfect as it was snowing in April and we had the center table facing the widows that oversee the (frozen) lake. The duck was the star of the evening but the you can’t go wrong with the short rib either. The pot de crème and lava cake brought it home. This place will definitely be on our list of restaurants to visit when we annual spring break in Mammoth.

We came here for lunch and the food was so delicious (especially the soup), that we just had to return for dinner. Dinner was even more delicious... Paired with incredible ambience, including a cozy, intimate dining room, local piano player with stories all evening, and artisan cocktails. We would travel to Mammoth just to come to this restaurant again. Highly recommend!
