I just experienced a fantastic weekend at a hidden gem! The portions were generous and reasonably priced, and the quality of the food was outstanding. Everything was made in-house and cooked to perfection. Even though we didn't have a reservation, they quickly accommodated us, and we enjoyed a wonderful meal. The staff were delightful as well. Can’t say we found it a lovely friendly team!! Obviously a bit of an ego trip between some of the ‘more experienced’ members of staff and the younger ones who are learning but lovely. We were quite obviously gossiped about from the ‘more experienced’ staff to locals who were sat at the bar. What a wonderful little jewel, hidden away from the beaten stretch, wonderful host, fantastic eating and wonderful environment. good the ride worth and to go the corner of goytre wharf! a date night in here, or even a snap decision would not let her want more! Fantastic pub near the canal friendly staff dog friendly,warm and cosy with log burning fire,had a lovely Sunday lunch a few times highly recommend.

A very warm and friendly pub. Went on Sunday evening for a Christmas meal with my fellow yogi. The food was excellent and the staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful.
