Shanti Cafe - Mamallapuram

Dinner here was really special. If you are dining in the Summer make sure to time your arrival prior to sunset and if at all possible book a table on the Southern-side of the restaurant. You will have the most spectacular view of the Shore Temple and the beach adjacent to it.The restaurant is very reasonably priced and their portions are satisfying. If you want fresh fish in India, I would strongly suggest you damper your craving in Mahabalipuram!I ate chicken manchurian with freshly steamed Basmati rice, but some of the other people at our table had fresh fish and gloriously crispy frittes!The waiting staff are speedy and well-mannered.

Do eat masala dosa and idli.Wonderful. Courteous staff and a good ambiance peaceful family restaurant. Andt to top it all, it fits in your pocket as well

This restaurant was closed for some time but will be reopened soon! There will be more place, a new kitchen, new roof, new everything. The grand day will hopefully be in July!

We had a very nice food there...the taste of the food was awesome....nice people very friendly and also cheap..

I love this place! very friendly atmosphere and home alike feeling. strongly recommended for those, who want to meet interesting people and share some experiences in a chill-full surroundings!
