hard to choose a caffe among the many others in mahabalipuram. joe’s caffe still has a good mood. the service may sometimes be slow, but not too much. simply enjoy the time that sun and good eating offered. the menu offers a mix of drinks and meal times, usually at breakfast and lunch, more western food than Indian. What Himesh Salvi doesn't like about Freshly 'n' Hot Cafe:
The coffee is good...In fact it's very good...And the omletes and fruit salad are great. It's in a nice shady spot when the sun is high and there's usually some good tunes playing. The service is efficient but very glum. I went there for breakfast...for 8 days and never saw a smile let alone a look of recognition. It's a shame and spoils a otherwise great little cafe. Went here for my daughter's 10th birthday hoping for a piece of cake and a yummy milkshake. Instead got glared at balefully for daring to ask for something on the menu and he grunted grumpily as he got off his chair which seemed to be glued to his lazy behind. Who cares if the food is good? We'll never find out because the service is TERRIBLE. We left!
The best coffee I had in India. Breakfast food is average and overpriced, but if you're craving good coffee it's the place to go.
Good thing is he seems to be accepting foreign currency. But the food and drinks here seem to be average. No idea what the fuss is about. Probably the friendly chap running this place
This restaurant is a lovely spot to enjoy an evening. They offer delicious local snacks paired with lovely coffee in a charming setting. The ambience of the café is beautiful.
