Bamboo House has very good fresh Sushi and Sashimi to take away or eat at theirtables and chairs. They also make hot cooked Japanese foods that are quite tasty and also very fresh.By the days end they are out of most varieties for take away food, so if you need to pick up some it is a good idea to order from them.I have ordered many times View all feedback.
What Adelle Kihn doesn't like about Bamboo Sushi Bar:
The sushi served here is average. But never , ever try their katsudon or anything from their ala carte menu. I learnt it the hard way.Katsudons are suppose to have egg, onion etc , their version of Katsudon is basically Tonkatsu! And the staff will continue to ask if i wanted pork or chicken for the Katsudon?? (fyi, Katsudon uses pork, oyakodon uses chicken). Anyway i chose pork , and it was basically served as a crumb... View all feedback.
The Bamboo House offers delicious fresh Sushi and Sashimi that can be enjoyed at their tables or for take-out. They also serve tasty and fresh hot cooked Japanese dishes. However, they tend to run out of most take-out options by the end of the day, so it's a good idea to place an order in advance. I have ordered from them many times and have always been satisfied.
The sushi and sashimi was very fresh and tasty - but at per roll this is expensive. they can either take or sit.
I will never go back to the Sushi Sushi chain again! It is rubbish compared to Bamboo. The service is friendly, the cafe is clean, and the staff is welcoming and attentive. The cafe has a cozy atmosphere with seating downstairs and a private room upstairs. The sushi is fresh and beautifully displayed in glass cases. They offer miso soup and green tea. The sushi is served beautifully on a platter with free wasabi and ginger on the side. They provide real chopsticks and sauce bowls for eating. They also have a menu for hot items made to order. The sushi here is incredibly fresh! I absolutely love it and will not go anywhere else for sushi.
I eat sushi ever day and have tried all the places around here! Hands down beats sushi sushi in Malvern central! Nice Mayo!
The sushi at this restaurant is just okay, but I strongly advise against trying the katsudon or anything from their a la carte menu. I unfortunately learned this the hard way. Traditional katsudons are supposed to include egg and onion, but their version is essentially just Tonkatsu. To make matters worse, the staff kept asking me if I wanted pork or chicken for the katsudon (for your information, katsudon is made with pork, while oyakodon is made with chicken). Despite specifying pork, I received a poorly executed crumbed pork dish that was slightly burnt and lacking the necessary sweet sauce and egg. This place is a complete rip-off.
