We popped in for a quick lunch & we were greeted by a friendly staff member. The large coffees were certainly large & the iced chocolate was said to be delicious. My crepe was thin with a lovely lemon curd, the croissant was flaky with melted cheese a good amount of ham with a touch of green for freshness while the baguette had a good amount of ham with a crunchy apple slaw. We will be back to sample the delicious tr... View all feedback.

Purchase a scoupon (or groupon) for the $13 for 2 person lunch. Minimal choice of food, and not all things on the menu were available - very little on the plates when they arrived. Would definitely not have been worth full price, and even at the deflated price would not go back. The food just wasn't that good. The cafe itself was clean with fresh decor, and the staff member was polite. I feel sorry for her as I reall... View all feedback.
Enjoyed brunch in pleasant setting with friendly staff and good coffee. Crepes and waffles are the best choices. Worth a stop over. Vouchers offer the best deal.
The food and service were fine but the serving sizes were very small, making it an expensive lunch. We got good value because we had a voucher but I wouldn't go again if I had to pay full price.
A friend and I were really looking forward to visiting Gateaux after reading some good reviews, however we were disappointed that one of the breakfast items was not available nor was one of the juices, it appears that another reviewer had the same issue...with unavailability of menu items as well. The waffles were superb and the honeydew green tea was delicious, however the plastic table menus needed a thorough wipe over as they were covered in food and drink splats, the cutlery in the pot was dirty, and the cups and tea pots were also grimey. There was also only napkin to split between the two of us. It seems to be a little understaffed with only one person serving at the counter, making coffees and taking orders, especially when it begins to get busy.
We were able to use a GROUPON voucher to enjoy a very delectable breakfast here. The café was small, which I like, it was quietly busy. Our choices for breakfast were most enjoyable. Another time, I would like to try the pastries which were...emerging from the oven as we ate our breakfasts.
Lovely couple and staff. Tasty cakes and light lunch food. They make their own bread on the premisis and take pride in their work.
