Värdshuset Lugnet - Malung

New owners have just taken over and they are refurbishing the hotel. Very nice and the service was great. Our room had a rather outdated bathroom, but it was clean and fresh. Comfortable beds, small but good breakfast buffet and the view is absolutely unbeatable, so beautiful! Located near a major road and it was heard a little but was no problem sleeping. I think this will be a real little gem when the new owner gets everything in place

A great place to be, amazing scenery really kind workers, great breakfast and much more I recommend if your stopping by. We had a bit of a panic when we read other reviews on the way here that said, among other things, mold in the shower, smelly toilet, bad breakfast, not cleaned , etc. But it really wasn 't like that, the guy who was going to check us in was incredibly nice, even though we were the worst at English and he at Swedish, we somehow managed it anyway. So, the staff: nice and helpful! 5/5 The rooms: We got the room Broome in the 'Australia house ' and got a nice view of the river and the car haha. The bathroom was fresh and had no moldy shower or smelly toilet. Nothing except the fan which sometimes turned itself on. 4/5 Treatment: 5/5 The breakfast: didn 't eat it myself but the partner describes it more like a home breakfast and not a hotel breakfast but it worked. The pictures show more how it looked. He who is allergic to milk would like a little more choice for people who cannot tolerate milk or just don 't want dairy products. There were no vegetarian or vegan options at all. But otherwise okay. 3/5 The location: great and downright cozy! Tips if you have the roads past Malung!

A hotel with a lot of charm and certainly many stories that happened there. An owner I keep my fingers crossed that he can fulfill his dream there. If you expect a lot of luxury, you are wrong here, but if you want to enjoy the moment on the terrace, you should stop there. Efforts are made at breakfast, but there is still room for improvement, fried eggs and bacon were very tasty.

Typical Swedish buildings and interior. Our rooms was large but the bathroom was small and strange (toilet in the middle of the room, light switch practically in the shower and the entire room filled with water when you showered). We stayed here in early September and it was very cold in the room and heating didn't work. Breakfast and dinner were very good. Not much to do in the area but there is a -10km marked walking trail nearby which was beautiful.
