My partner and I visited this restaurant on a Monday evening with our dog. The owners and the locals were wonderful, and the log fire created a cozy atmosphere for a lovely evening.
During our stay in Acklam, we were looking for a place to grab a drink and stumbled upon the Half Moon Inn. We were warmly welcomed by a wonderful group of people. The owners, Neil and Carol, were exceptionally friendly and made the experience a lot of fun. What started as a quick stop for a few drinks turned into a late-night gathering. The beer was fantastic, the atmosphere was filled with great characters, and there were some lovely dogs around too. I highly recommend this place!
We had a delightful Sunday lunch featuring wonderfully tender beef and pork, a large fluffy homemade Yorkshire pudding, and plenty of vegetables and gravy. It was just perfect!
We stayed in Aclam for a few nights and ate in the local village pub. We were made to feel so welcome by Neil and Carol and the locals that we went back again the next night too. They've really thought about Covid in the current climate and although a limited menu the food was lovely and homemade and the ale really well kept.
