Wow, this was our first visit to Whatley Manor, and my husband and I went with our daughter and son-in-law for a Sunday roast. I have to say, it was an excellent meal! Paul took care of us, and his customer service was exceptional—he is a tremendous asset to Whatley Manor. We will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this place and the food. Very disappointing lunch for my wife’s birthday. Low bookings meant we were offered a seat in the bar. Staff were friendly and coped well with our toddler, but the food left a lot to be desired. Local charcuterie looked suspiciously like a supermarket multipack; the burger had a nice flavour but was dry and overpriced; and the bouillabaisse had little fish, no seafood and was mainly potato it was missing an item and had an unpleasant taste. They did remove the cost of the soup, but I can’t recommend visiting as no dish met expectations especially at the price.
