I have been at least 6 times over the last few years but i went last night and the service has really declined we sat down and ordered a bottle of wine some bread and Alioli and our starters and main and we weren’t sitting down 5 mins and our starter came out before we even had a glass of water or wine i had to ask 20 mins later for the wine and the bread came out after then too. I said it to the waiter after the meal when he asked was everything ok and he didn’t seem to care too much. Disappointing because food is really good but when you go somewhere and pay nearly 200 euro for a meal the service should match it.
Food was absolutely horrendous, under cooked and cold, no ice for the water, no side plates for lobster shell. Staff were very rude from entering to leaving, and then they had the nerve to add a service charge!
Over promising and under performing. We booked a table for the evening on the early sitting 7pm. First thing upon arrival was that the music was so loud we could not hear each other. We weren’t in a bar, we were in a restaurant so we would have expected some background music but not to be drowned out when trying to speak to each other. We asked twice if the music could be turned down slightly, with no change. Then our drinks started to arrive. One of us had got there first and ordered theirs when they arrived. By the time the rest of us had arrived and ordered ours, the first drink was still yet to arrive. This was preceded by the waiter slamming every water glass down on the table like a spoilt child who had been made to come to work. One of the drinks ordered was a white wine which was warm. We again had to call the waitress across who said that was normal and it had come out of the fridge. It most definitely hadn’t been anywhere near a fridge. For us that was enough, we asked for the bill as we were leaving and we weren’t about to see how much worse it could get when we ordered food! When we explained why we were leaving what a surprise there was no problem with lowering the music, but we’d already asked twice and been ignored They were even ignorant enough to put the service charge on the drinks bill after we had explained why we were leaving. I guess when your a seafront restaurant who are regularly busy you don’t have to worry about repeat business. Shocking service, shocking atmosphere and 100% not worth visiting. We proceeded to go back to the Barbuda restaurant around the bay to spend 600 euros on a meal and great wine. We had a fantastic evening as we had been there the night before, amazing food and fantastic staff.
A little expensive but knew that before visiting so we didn’t mind! Vegan paella was the best in palmanova
There was vegan options on the menu, but when we were seated (after 40 min wait), we were told that there was no vegan cheese hence almost no vegan options. The worst was they places us right next to a lobster tank with crowded lobsters. So animal abuse as a side order. No thank you.
