Mike Studios Apartments

Family run Hotel and Apartments. Service in the Hotel restaurant and the Apartments pool bar was superb. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Very well run business run by very hard working people . Rooms: Apartment with partial Seaview had lounge/kitchen,bedroom with huge bed,bathroom with wonderful shower.Balcony with view of the sea and the grounds between the Apartments and the Hotel. Nice sized rooms,a good sized bathroom with fantastic shower,comfy beds,plenty of room for 4 people staying for their holiday,and the ONLY faults we found were the restaurant food,as it was lukewarm to eat,and you had to go up a steep hill to get there when using the facility,but the main fault we found was when using the hob inside the apartment,as we were self-catering during our stay,it was fitted the wrong way around,with the temperature controls at the top,by the outer wall,which meant you had to reach over the hot rings to turn down,or switch off the rings,which could be a problem if you had Hot pans..These hobs definitely need turning round 180 degrees to be safer to use,as the controls should be at the front,and fortunately nobody was burnt when using the hob...Just thought I would point this out,as the management may be able to sort this fault out,and we don't know IF other hobs have been fitted this way in any other rooms ?..We had a great time there from 23rd September to 3rd October 2023,all of the staff and the cleaners were brilliant,and our party of 4 adullts really enjoyed our time in Mike Hotel and Apartments,highly recommend for an enjoyable holiday break..

I'm a cynic by nature and admit I was a little sceptical after reading reviews of this complex. I was wrong! Manos, Sofia, Maria, Panos and Nico all go out of their way to ensure you feel welcome and your holiday is relaxing. The restaurant staff, the domestics (the lovely Dina), every single person at Mike's has time to help out if required. I have NEVER seen this level of commitment before. They may run a 3 star place but could give lessons to a 5 star one in hospitality. Middle of the 2nd week we booked for next year. Says it all! Restaurant is very good, not expensive, a reasonably steep incline from the pool area but we saw Sophia arrange a ride back down for one couple. This isn't just good service, it's exceptional. Pool area plenty of sunbeds. Pool bar food good and drinks reasonably priced too. Honestly, they know what they're doing and they do it very well indeed. See you all next year.

Great place, all the staff are amazing, a family owned business who will bend over backwards to get it right, nothing is too much trouble. Apartments are fantastic, maid service everyday. Food served is tasty and very well priced. Can't ask for anymore. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view, Romantic, Quiet, Great value

Great place. Service was excellent staff really friendly helpful (thank you Manos, Panos Maria you were great! Along with the cleaners who worked so hard . Kitchenette poorly stocked in the apartments. Very basic. Rooms a good size with plenty of storage space. Fab showers in bathrooms. (multi jets with good water pressure . Generally older clientelle who seem to return for years on end makes for a pretty peaceful holiday. Pool bar area spotlessly clean with plenty of sunbeds, tables, chairs parasols. Resort (Maleme very run down with an air of neglect. Lots of abandoned buildings scrub land. Lots of litter. Not pretty. The few restaurants bars all pretty much the same not great for vegetarians. Beach stony grey. Bus service from the main road excellent with conductors on the bus who will tell you when to get off at destination return. Local supermarkets shabby expensive. Best to a short bus ride to Lidl (towards Platanias for essentials. Nice restful holiday but sadly wouldn't return to the area.
