Stopped here on our Sunday weekend train excursion. Restaurant was full, but they found us space (my 9yr old son I). I had the gammon, egg chips while my son had the chicken goujons off the children’s menu. Both meals were tasty, substantial and well presented. An unexpected highlight for me was a couple of pints of finely-crafted ale. The barman was very friendly and shared plenty of information about the brewery. W... View all feedback.
What Eden Murphy doesn't like about Wibblers Brewery Taproom Kitchen:
This restaurant was a major letdown. We drove all the way from Southend to celebrate my wife's birthday, only to be served poorly cooked food. The vegan platter consisted of a large bowl of olives, peanuts, and toast (not pita bread), a few frozen falafel balls, and hummus. It was not only pricey but also lacked flavor. We will not be returning and do not recommend this place to anyone else. View all feedback.
The staggered seating times at this restaurant ensure that there is no waiting to order and that the main dishes are served quickly. However, table clearing could be more efficient.

An absolute disappointment. We were looking forward to a celebration lunch for my birthday and the food was abysmal. A vegan platter consisting mainly of olives, peanuts and convenience food which was fried to mush.. Potato bravas arrived as large boiled potatoes in a yomato sauce. The tapas didn't fare better with once again fried frozen food; a cheese.ploughmans had some cheese placed on dome salad leaves plus lots of crisps. Large portions but we would have preferred quality over quantity. The only saving grace was the Wibblers beer and the helpful service from the bartender and waitress £94 could have so easily meant a decent meal. Reduce the vast menu choices...ditch the frozen convenience food and cook from scratch!
Delicious beer brewed on site, along with a well stocked bar for those who don't like beer. Pleasantly surpised with the food menu, which is extensive really good. Four of us tried different things for dinner all were impressed.
First time here and very local to us. This is an actual brewery as well and you can take a tour. As a real ale Dan, this was the ideal place to enjoy a pint or three . Six different ales to choose from and a few lagers plus a couple of ciders all brewed here. Service was great and a pleasant and knowledgeable bar man served us and then showed us to out table we had booked which is advisable . Great choice of food and very generous portions too. Very enjoyable experience and would definitely recommend to anyone.
