The food is outstanding, with a generous amount of meat and a great variety of vegetables, all served hot. The beer and wine selection is top-notch and the prices are unbeatable for the quality. The service is exceptional, with great attention to detail. Boris and George have created one of the best pubs in Essex. We are thrilled to have discovered this hidden gem. I... read more 14 of us Ladies went for our christmas dinner to The Norton. There was plenty of food on the plates, a large amount of meat and a good selection of vegtables. It was very tasty and I enjoyed it very much and will be back soon. I would have given it a five star, but didn't as there were no christmas decorations. It would have made a christmas dinner perfect.

While we d... read more A group of friends and I visited The Norton for drinks and were greeted by the landlord, Boris. They serve excellent pints of Guinness and real ales. While we didn't eat there ourselves, we've heard from friends that the food is top-notch. The staff are very friendly and there is even a dartboard, a rarity in pubs nowadays. I believe they also have a large room that can be booked for meals and gatherings, as some of my friends have hosted shoot dinners there. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit.

They also had a great selection of beer. It is a nice place and definitely worth a visit. It should be considered a destination pub, not just for locals.
