We visited this charming country pub for lunch for the second time and had a wonderful experience. The food options for vegetarians were excellent and we highly recommend trying the fish and chips, which were great value for money. Make sure to save room for dessert as the puddings are delicious. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The pub also has a beautiful garden and plenty of parking available. View all feedback.
What Kgellis doesn't like about The Fox And Hound Pub:
Stopped off here for a pit stop on our way to Mayland. We received a friendly greeting from the bar maid who was interested in our T-shirts which showed that we were walking for Alzheimer's. We relaxed in the beer garden before getting on our way but we promised ourselves that we would be back soon. View all feedback.
Visited this charming pub today for Sunday lunch. Atmosphere lovely, service excellent, very reasonable and cool despite the temperature outside. This is such a friendly pub but few people were eating as it is a little out of the way. Well worth a visit. Superb lunch, good menu and an enjoyable afternoon.
This is a delightful country pub serving outstanding foods and refreshing cold drinks. Had a beautiful Sunday lunch and service and food was really special
Lovely friendly pub out in little village near danbury. Hubby was working nearby and found this recently taken over pub. Great find. Nice decor, great food and helpful friendly staff.
Me and my partner have visited before and had a lovely meal so on the way back today disided to book for lunch the starter was nice but the roast was ubsuloutly bad the beef was tough and over cooked as was the potatoes veg was out of a packet we paid extra for the 3 meat upgrade not worth it all in all very poor
The food here is nice enough pub grub but given the remote location it needs to be amazing as it will never have enough footfall to make decent money. Seen it taken over a few times in the 20 years I've lived nearby. Owners need to give people a reason to get in their car and drive there. The Royal Oak which used to be up the road in Woodham Walter is now a curry house. After a refit a lot of people went there initially then lost interest. I fear the same will happen here.
