Rose Inn - Maldon
Rose Inn
Description
The Rose Inn has received a mix of reviews since new owners took over. Some have pointed out a decline in food quality and unfriendly atmosphere, while others have praised the welcoming staff and great atmosphere. Customers enjoyed themed nights like cheese and wine, as well as tasty Sunday roasts. The pub itself has been decorated nicely, with a welcoming beer garden. Overall, despite some changes, The Rose Inn continues to be a friendly country pub with good food at reasonable prices, making it worth the visit for many.

Lovely food, all home cooked, friendly, welcoming, great service..Will be going back...
Would highly recommend this pub. Very friendly and welcoming. Great for kids and dogs too! Just had a lovely cooked breakfast which was delicious! Definitely going back!
We have been to the Rose quite a few times now and love the atmosphere. It is a very welcoming pub and the staff are great. This visit was a cheese and wine night which was amazing with lots of variety and very appetising. Our previous visit had been afternoon tea which was equally as good. I wish we were nearer as we would visit a lot more often.
Had some lovely roasts delivered from the Rose a couple of Sundays ago and have collected a couple of roasts since. Both times really tasty. Visited the pub for lunch this week for the first time. Sat outside on the terrace which is part inside but with one end open so fresh air surrounding us. All tables a fair space apart. Meals were excellent and plentiful. We had steak and ale pie, cod and chips and chicken burger and chips all delicious. Crumble and profiteroles for dessert and then coffee topped it off very nicely! Will definitely eat in again, and when we can't will have the roast as a takeaway on a Sunday. Thanks again to the Rose for some lovely meals.
