They really should consider changing their name. However, the food at Red Onion is consistently excellent. Although delivery can be inconsistent at times, it is worthwhile to be patient. I have ordered from them many times and have never been disappointed. Give them a try, you won't regret it. View all feedback.
What Bilncrs doesn't like about Bangalore Spice:
We use Bangalore spice around half a dozen times a year. We have never had a problem with the food at all, hence us returning. The place could really do with a facelift though, it might only be a only takeaway, but it should still look fresh. Small tip, if they tell you 20 mins to prepare your order, make it 30 lol View all feedback.
This take away has not been Bangalore Spice for a long time as it closed. As The Red Onion its is by far the best Asian food takeaway in the area who also offer a delivery service. The food is outstanding and the portions do not leave you hungry. Never had a problem and thoroughly recommended.
I was recommended the red onion but was really disappointed. I only ordered a chicken tikka masala but when I got home it didn't look or taste like a chicken tikka masala. It was orange for a start, every chicken tikka I've had has been red and it didn't have any flavour, it just tasted very sweet. The chicken was tender but didn't taste marinaded. A really disappointing curry and I won't be going back.
Fabulous been trying to find excellent Indian food for a long time, finally went here on recommendation, the best Indian food we have ever had, if you know your Indian food you must try this place
We had takeout from the Red Onion when it first reopened and it was quite good. However, when we went back recently, it was the worst we have ever had. Both curry sauces had grease floating on top, were bland and tasteless. To make matters worse, I found a bone shard in my vegetable biriyani, which was very off-putting as a vegetarian. There are plenty of other Indian takeaway options in Heybridge, so I would recommend trying another place first. It's a shame because the Red Onion is very close to us.
