We've been here at the same pizza parlor for so many wonderful years since I was a kid, still the service is excellent and their food are constantly amazing.

It was a good experience dining in Shakey's Pizza Parlor since it offers variety of meal that is worth craving and the service in this branch was exceptional, foods arrive early, everything we demanded was brought in short time and the staffs serve with a smile. Pizza: High Protein Pizza The high protein pizza is very delicious since we can taste the flavor of each ingredients’ with harmony without any flavor empowering the other ingredients. Each ingredient contribute distinct taste to the pizza: the beef chunk’s releasing juice and mild salt beefy flavor, the salami’s smoky with a hint of salty flavor, the ham’s sweetness, the pepperoni’s smoky taste with a slight kick of spiciness, the mingling flavor of sweetness and spiciness of the Italian sausage, the mild and creamy taste of mozzarella, the tangy flavor added by the ranch dressing, and the tomato sauce which add sweetness and sourness to the pizza. It all compliments each other’s flavor resulting in an indulging pizza that must be savor with every bite. The plating was just simple it’s just served with a wooden pan and that’s it but the food itself is eye catching and mouthwatering. The texture of the Pizza is just perfect the combination of the crunchiness of the softness of the crust, the juiciness of the meats, the moist stretchy mozzarella cheese feels like that there is a party of different texture in your mouth while chewing. The price of the pizza for us is quite reasonable since we get at least what we pay for. Despite of the good review for pizza we can’t avoid having flaws in what we do. First the side crust of the pizza is too thick which belittle the space where you can put sauce, cheese and toppings at the pizza. I can suggest that you can improve it through not making this mistake of expanding the side crust and adding more toppings as shown on your menu. Flavor: 5 stars Plating: 4 stars Texture: 5 stars Price: 3 stars Chicken: Classic Fried Chicken We loved the fried chicken at Shakey’s. The gravy sauce complimented the fried chicken very well. Its fried chicken is great pairing with the classic spaghetti. The saltiness and the tanginess of the pasta blends well together. No wonder it is famous at the restaurant. But for some people, they taste the fried chicken quite salty. But for the affordable price we paid was a satisfaction and loved by many people, people ranging from children to adults. The plating was just simple, but still it blends in with the theme of the restaurant, we can feel that western theme while it was served upon our table. The crunchiness of the fried chicken was perfect. It has consistency with its other fried chicken. It was crunchy on the outside and juicy in the inside. The spices that was blended in the flour flavored the skin and was indeed delicious together with the gravy sauce or ketchup. The value we paid was very affordable and it reached our satisfaction and cravings. The taste of one product must be standardized in restaurant. The chickens we’ve eaten has different taste. The one has a delicious not too salty taste and the other taste like it was no seasoned. We could recommend that once you cook a food you must make sure everything is seasoned properly and follow the recipe. Flavor: 4 stars Plating: 4 stars Texture: 5 stars Price: 5 stars Pasta: Classic Spaghetti Based on what I have learned in all of my laboratory classes, when cooking and serving pasta, you should always keep in mind that pasta dishes are always best when served hot. You need to make sure that the pasta dish you will be serving is in a perfect condition, considering the texture, flavor, physical quality, appearance of the pasta and the sauce. We are tasked to eat in a restaurant and try to analyze and improve their products or dishes to a better one. First thing that I have noticed into their pasta is that it is not served hot. Second, the pasta is overcooked, I can't feel any texture or that "bite" I am looking for to the spaghetti. Considering the fact that Shakey’s here in the Philippines serves Filipino style spaghetti or the sweet one, for me the spaghetti sauce is too sweet and it is not warm or hot also just like the pasta, and also, the amount of the sauce they have added into the pasta is too much. Minding the price of the family size spaghetti, or the large one, for me it is not worth it. I tried to check the composition and every ingredient of the sauce and I don't see any pricey ingredient that could make the price of the pasta that expensive. To better improve their spaghetti they should try to cook their pasta into "al dente" stage so that when they serve their pasta, it is perfectly cooked. Including the texture and temperature. If possible they can try to serve fresh pasta, because, for me it is more acceptable to buy a spaghetti in a higher price than the normal if they use fresh pasta. To better improve their sauce try to add more tomatoes. It will help balance the sweetness and sourness of the sauce. Flavor: 3 stars Plating: 5 stars Texture: 3 stars Price: 4 stars Vegetable: Salad : Greek Salad The Greek salad in Shakey’s was looking good, and a food that you can enjoy without being guilty. It is a great healthy choice for an appetizer, because of its tart and strong flavors. Its dressing uses vinaigrette which is healthier and has strong desirable tartness which stimulates the diner’s appetite, rather than a mayonnaise based dressing. Also the burning sensation from cured ham, and the olive’s strong flavor helps the job done with stimulating the appetite, but I wish I had more feta cheese. It’s sad that the picture in the menu had a decent amount of feta cheese, and the one that we had barely had any. The salad doesn’t have any base that may add some height to it, which may improve the overall aesthetic appeal. I like how the Shakey’s combines a regular lettuce and a red leaf lettuce to their Greek salad to add some color. It’s a good thing that it doesn’t have any bruises in the lettuce, which refers that it is handled properly. All of the other veggies are cut in uniform. The tomatoes are red and juicy and cucumbers doesn’t have any brown spots. They use white onions instead of red which is good because raw red onions are spicy, and it would have been too much red in the salad because of the red lettuce and tomatoes. Also white onions helps to bring out the white color of the salad. Because it was lacking the white color on their tiny amount of feta. The aesthetic appeal of the salad is good, the colors are balance, and it looks appetizing. However there is a bit false advertising on the feta. It’s strong flavor and tartness is stimulating the diner’s appetite. Flavor: 5 stars Plating: 5 stars Texture: 5 stars Price: 5 stars Sauce: Gravy The gravy’s taste was just like an artificial mixture that can be bought in supermarkets. I think you could improve through making a gravy from scratch because it taste a lot more different and sauces plays a large part at boosting the taste of food. Shakey's offers a variety of meal that will satisfy its customer's cravings. I always crave for their Spiced Chicken and Mojos! Recently, I tried their platter, which I forgot the name, which contains spaghetti, 1 pc. chicken, garlic bread, pizza, and three mojos. I recommend this because it is affordable and filling, though I do not like their spaghetti. There is something wrong with their sauce. Overall, the staff is not that friendly and the service is VERY slow. Though the food is great.
