I visited this establishment based on its good rating, specifically for a takeaway coffee. However, my experience was not a pleasant one. I initially ordered one coffee but was charged for two. The coffees were extremely hot, making it difficult for me to carry them to my car. Additionally, the old front door of the shop was difficult to open, and despite being the only customer, no one offered to assist me. As a result, I nearly spilled the scalding coffee outside. The staff appeared preoccupied with personal conversations, neglecting to provide proper attention to me as a paying customer. The inappropriate attire of one staff member further detracted from the professionalism of the establishment. The coffee itself did not taste right and for the price of $6 for a 400ml cup, it was on the expensive side. I will not be returning to this shop and would advise others to seek alternative options. An apology for the poor experience would be appreciated, rather than a justification. I hope the establishment takes this feedback into account and improves their service in the future. This restaurant serves some of the best food I've had in a long time. The owner is fantastic, a lovely woman. They offer a great selection of vegetarian options. The service is top-notch, the atmosphere is perfect for a cozy brunch. Prices range from A$80 to A$100 per person. Food, service, and atmosphere all receive a perfect 5 out of 5 rating.

This charming Cafe is more than that: it is a unique experience in exquisite food and coffee made and served by friendly locals who really care. There is a committed passion behind this business which leads to excellence in preparing and serving delicious dishes made from fresh local produce. And the coffee, just look forward to one of the best full stop. A tailored blend of Mareeba's Skybury beans from Tattooed Sailor is used to produce a perfect brew. While the interior is like walking into grandma's house; antique furniture and a warm hug, outside there are dog friendly tables to ensure that your best friend is also catered for. So glad the owners chose Malanda.
