Was Anonym at El Cuartel a mag?
a pleasant surprise that exceeded my expectations for the closeness of so workers. the caps/rations are very correct and the very good prices. I'll definitely be back. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about El Cuartel:
Good place to take a few tapas on a quiet street, there are very good tapas, such as croquettes or calluses, and tapas that are not as good as tuna in butter (a few years ago it was quite better and it was the star dish) good prices. View all feedback.
Great little place to stop off for a drink and tapas. Excellent service, and good prices sat outside enjoying the sites and sounds.
This is a traditional, attractive little bar on a quieter street away from the main tourist area. My partner and I decided to stop for some tapas and the woman who took our order was pleasant. However, the tapas we were served were the tiniest portions I have ever been served, apart from the free ones you are given with a drink. Tomato alinado was a single sliced tomato with a bit of olive oil and some salt €2.50). Queso Manchego was 3 small triangles of cheese €3). We got 2 croquetas, which was ok, but then one small pinchos de Cordero lamb skewer) for €3. This was all served with a few bits of stale bread cut into squares. The wine and beer were fine but in a city like Malaga where there are so many good eating places that go out of their way to provide excellent, traditional food and even the tourist traps make more effort and give more value for money in most cases) this was an absolute joke! We should have said something at the time I suppose we speak reasonable Spanish) but we were just so taken aback at the blatant rip off that we didn’t say anything. Anyway, don’t waste your money. There are many more honest eating establishments just a few metres from this travesty.
The worst food that I ate in Malaga so far and I tried at least 10 spots)... decent service and good wine but I think wine is good anywhere in Spain)... don't let yourself being fooled by prices
Quality of food is average, quantity is little bit less than expected and ususal in Malaga. Prices are mid-high range. You can choose , basically, what you want. Tapas are from fish, meat, vegetables, cheese, ...
We were up this street eating in a nearby restaurant and thought we would drop into this interestingly-named bar. We had some meatballs, croquettes and wine and it felt very authentic. There were plenty of friendly locals inside enjoying some lunch and although the place emptied out fairly quickly, we felt like it was the sort of place that we would go back to if visiting Malaga again.
