All dishes are prepared using a clay pot and fresh hot in serving. Ordered the pepper pork stomach, and the soup is spicy hot, and nice. Good recommendation by our friend. The prawn used is large for the Wine prawn dish, tasted the sauce is full of Chinese wine fragrance. some feedback from our group that the prawn was not too fresh, tried it and believed could be a handling issue. The fillet with onion ginger is nice too. The fish is fresh and tasted. Is good to try. Curry fillet is another dish to recommend. The curry is thick and spicy.
I love it !! Food so nice ! Big portion with affordable price. Staff friendly and give fast service. Suitable for individual or family gathering. Eak time little bit hard to get parking but got strees free parking nearby .
Specialized in dishes prepared and served in clay pots, you can rest assure the heat and food flavours are retained for more than 15 minutes. The best days to come are rainy days, I recommend to try their curry or lala or salty fish dishes.
Arrived at about 6pm on a Saturday. There was already a crowd of people waiting outside. Take a number and stand about waiting too. From the outside, we could see that quite a number of tables were empty, but they refused to sit us and let diners wait outside instead. I've no idea why they do this maybe to make themselves seem more popular if there's a queue out there? After waiting for 30 40 minutes, I was finally seated and made my order. Cheese prawn was nice, but sauce was more diluted than i expected almost like soup. I was served 6 huge prawns and charged RM60 for the dish. Otak omelette (RM15) is yummy too. However, the star of the night was the curry fish fillet (RM28). Curry sauce was delicious with lots of fish fillet and vegetables inside. By the time i was done eating at about 8pm, the restaurant was turning people away, saying they're out of food already. In my opinion, service could definitely be improved first you don't seat people immediately, then you turn people away as early as 8pm. If you know you're popular, shouldn't you prepare more ingredients upfront?
This was a tummicious place that we found while in Melaka. Ordered 4 claypot items pepper pig stomach, bean sprouts, dry braised pig tail and braised pig trotters. All 4 were really good especially the pig tail which was soft and flavorful. It’s not something u get to find everywhere in this form and shape of cooking so it was a pleasant surprise to all of us. Another dish that was outstanding was the bean sprouts. At first we thought it was just plain bean sprouts stir fried with garlic but man are we wing. It is plain but when doused with the sauce that it came with, it was bean sprouts Overall I recommend coming to here to try. It’s further from the touristy Jonker but the food is a thumbs up.
