Was Aryanna Bailey at Bay Window a mag?
This restaurant just has about everything nearly right. There is little to complain about as the food is always fresh, sized correctly, staff are truly helpful, the menu changed on a regular basis and what comes out of that kitchen is unbelievable. There is a lift to the restaurant / club level and drinks are at club prices (but you have to get them yourselves which isn't hard). Book early and get a window table appro... View all feedback.
What Kadin Dibbert dislikes about Bay Window:
The popularity of this restaurant is evidenced by how busy it has become-it was a Friday night and there were 3 long tables with noisy parties plus a host of individual tables. Too many people in the room, the noise level is becoming uncomfortable. The...management need to find a level and stick to it without spoiling the previously pleasant environment. I have visited this restaurant many times for dinner with both kids and adults, as well as for functions and parties. The food is consistently delicious and the service is always excellent. It's definitely one of my favorite places!
The Golf Club is a wonderful venue with stunning sea views. The staff were exceptionally friendly and made for great conversation. The prices for alcoholic drinks and food were quite reasonable. While the food was good, it didn’t quite reach the level of amazing. I ordered the lamb shank with red wine sauce, mashed potatoes, and vegetables from the specials board. The meat was tender, the mash was smooth, but the sauce lacked flavor, yet I still enjoyed my meal. I also had the chance to try the tomato gnocchi, Thai green curry, and prawn and chorizo rigatoni. To summarize, the gnocchi was light, soft, and packed with flavor, while the Thai green curry was quite ordinary and tasted mostly of coconut rice without much complexity. The rigatoni featured tender, juicy prawns paired with a delightful sauce. Overall, the reasonable prices and pleasant atmosphere outweigh the minor shortcomings of the food. Most of my dining companions were pleased with their meals as well.
What a fantastic meal! I had friends visiting from Canada on Saturday, August 26, 2017, and Gerald, who hails from Alberta—an area known for its beef and someone who truly understands steak—declared it among the best he’s ever had, which is high praise indeed! The main courses were served promptly and were all exceptional. There were four tables of eight behind us, and everyone seemed to be having a great time. The prices were excellent, and the views of Malabar Inlet and the beach were stunning. I will definitely go back again! – Sandy Campbell
The food was ordinary, if not mediocre, at exorbitant prices. We ordered a well-done steak but it was still inadequately cooked, still red on the inside, and fish and chips, which was stock-standard and featured fried frozen fish from those boxes rather than fried frozen fish that you get at a good fish and chipper. The service was poor, with the staff incredibly inattentive and unresponsive, and the ambience was marred by the boisterousness of some of the diners and some of the diners who clearly had not gotten the message regarding changes to smoking in or near dining areas. However, it was heart-warming to see that the staff actually cared to call someone out on their smoking. All in all, we would not recommend dining at Randwick Golf Club. However, the place is probably a great place for locals if no other, cheaper and better options are available.

I ordered the grilled barramundi with a side of sweetheart at this restaurant, prepared by a skilled chef. The dish was beautifully presented and delicious. My only criticism was that the fish was slightly dry, possibly due to being overcooked. The atmosphere was also very pleasant and the staff were exceptional...very friendly. I would definitely come back again.
We have been going to the Bay Window Restaurant for many years and have always enjoyed the nice atmosphere and friendly staff. However, recently we have found the meals to be very expensive. This is unacceptable and has turned us away from returning.
I was looking for a tasty meal and the chef did not disappoint. The muscles in a savory garlic wine sauce were delicious. The restaurant also had a fantastic view and would be the perfect place to bring guests from out of town.
A quiet evening but service slow. The fish was fine but the pork belly was not up to standard. Just warm and oh so fatty-should be hot and crispy, carrots al dente! Not a memorable meal. The manageress not in evidence- has she gone as...she has not been there for many weeks. Will be giving this place a miss for a while in the hope the chefs concentrate on improving the quality of the fare
Bay Windows is a regular for us. Lively atmosphere, great views, excellent food and good service. Same wait staff for the past couple of years, must have good manager. There is a regular menu and monthly menu. Sometimes a souffle is on offer. Steak done...perfectly as was trout special. Great space for a special event or just a meal for two.
