However, the salmon sashimi was extr... read more The food experience at Nihonryori was mediocre. The highlights were the two rolls and the potato salad included in the set. However, the salmon sashimi was extremely cold, making it uncomfortable to eat. We had to soak it in soy sauce just to thaw it a bit before trying. The beef teppan was unseasoned and tough, as if it had merely been reheated. The mixed seafood was overly salty, overshadowing the delicate flavors of the seafood. To make matters worse, my rice was served in a bowl with a hole in the bottom, which I only discovered towards the end of my meal. It seemed like a bowl meant for soup that was being repurposed. A friend of mine usually orders the grilled salmon, but she decided to try something different this time. Overall, the prices for the food were not justifiable; there are other restaurants that offer better quality dishes at more reasonable prices, especially if you’re planning to eat a lot.
