The food at Aurora is truly exceptional. It combines diverse Asian flavors and textures to create a remarkable dining experience. You can clearly see the chef's dedication in designing and preparing each dish. I also enjoyed the cocktails, and I was pleasantly surprised by the deliciousness of the sangria! What an outstanding dining experience! Aurora has long been on my list of must-try restaurants, and they certainly surpassed my expectations! We ordered the Laksa Mussels, Nam Tok, and Salmon Donburi. Although the portions might appear small, they were more than enough for two! Everything was fantastic! We also enjoyed their cocktails; the Negroni was the best I've tasted in the metro (and I've tried quite a few!). For dessert, we sampled the Mousse. Initially, I wasn't a fan of the foam, but it actually complemented the chocolate inside beautifully. The service was impeccable, with the staff being very attentive, making the overall dining experience a true five-star one. I won’t delve into the ambiance, as the pictures speak for themselves. Truly one of Manila’s finest! Service: Dine-in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₱2,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Laksa Mussels
I visited Aurora with my boyfriend to celebrate my birthday dinner, and we had a wonderful time! Here’s what we ordered: **Starters** 1. **Laksa Mussels (5/5)** - Absolutely delicious! The bread was a perfect match for the flavorful laksa sauce. Highly recommend! 2. **Pomelo Salad (4/5)** - I enjoyed the textures in this dish; it was refreshing and well-balanced. 3. **Japanese Oysters (5/5)** - The tosazu jelly complemented the soft, poached oysters beautifully. My only complaint is that there were only two servings. **Mains** 4. **Ribeye (5/5)** - Cooked to perfection and incredibly tender! A true highlight. 5. **Salmon Donburi (5/5)** - Fresh and flavorful salmon paired with ikura and corn multigrain rice—very filling on its own! **Desserts** 6. **Mousse (2/5)** - Unfortunately, this one didn’t work for me. The flavor in the center was too intense for my liking. **Drinks** 7. **Iced Matcha Latte (1/5)** - This was a letdown; it tasted like a bitter version of Starbucks matcha. 8. **Iced Tea (2/5)** - Just average. Nothing remarkable about it. Overall, I would definitely return for the food (excluding dessert and drinks)! The Laksa Mussels and Ribeye are must-tries.
