I ordered a small 6in roundcake and 2 dozen cupcakes. the cake was strawberry aromatized and the cupcake aromen were lilikoi and chocolate chantilly. pretty every single person on my party asked me how I ordered. seriously, all loved the cakes and could not stop to save them, especially the cupcakes. the service was great. the only negatiw is that it is a bit expensive. What User doesn't like about Cupcake And Things Bakery:
I tried the flavored cupcakes for my birthday last year and they tasted like they should. Orange had an orange flavor, guava had a guava flavor. They were great. Fast forward to today. I ordered a dozen of various flavored cupcakes. They were quite expensive 33. They were hard from being in the refrigerator and the frosting was bland. I couldn’t taste any of the flavors. I'm not the type to write reviews online, however I feel my recent experience deserves a warning to potential customers. After speaking with the staff, and confirming the design for a birthday cake, I went in to pick up my order, to find a completely different cake design being offered for approval. The staff then made up excuses on why they couldn't do the design agreed upon via email and phone call. But when asked why they didn't bother to call to make me aware of the change....no answer explanation. Being that I had to bring the cake to the birthday party, I had to take what I was offered. I could have got the same cake from somewhere like Safeway, and it would have been cheaper, and looked the same. I feel that in a customer facing business, you should have the courtesy of letting your customer know that you do not intend to provide the service you initially agreed to. There's a variety of bakeries on Oahu that I feel provide better service, and value their customers. I will be taking my business elsewhere going forward. I wish I had read the google reviews prior to considering this company. I'm just now learning others went through the same experience in the reviews below.
Herbert and his son went above and beyond making sure my sister gets her birthday cake! My sister loved the cake and the chocolate-dipped strawberries, thank you!
Oh MY! I am a cupcake snob (being from So. Cal and having lots of great options BTW) and these bring me to that happy place! Once we found this place we have been frequent customers (3x a month at least) and I swear I need to invest in this company! My husband is in LOVE with the Black Forest Cake Slices and he is NOT a chocolate lover. It is the perfect chocolate flavor with out the too much sweet and feel like your getting a cavity taste. We have also ordered it as a 9 round and a 1/4 sheet cake. Seriously a delightful cake! I love their Sundae and Chocolate Raspberry cupcakes! Their Oreo cupcake is also delicious! I really want to try their Smores cupcake but it is always gone when I come... one day! I can go on and on about this place... but PLEASE just go in and enjoy all they have to offer! I promise you won't be disappointed... if you are...I will pay for your items myself!
Such a wonderful bakery! excellent customer service and friendly staff. I have submitted an order request online on the website and was contacted by phone to confirm my order details. my cake was ready for picking up the next day and was beautiful. the cake was absolutely delicious and I will buy definitiw again!
I live in Alabama and this is my place for fantastic chocolate covered strawberries and cupcakes with homemade icing. I have two wonderful people in the area and love to pamper them with cupcake and things Hawaii candy.
