I never tried the dinner buffet and opted for the a la carte food. This was quite good albeit a bit uninspired but that goes for most...hotels. All in all an OK experience

On question if it would be possible to take certain drinks, waiter was plainly responding NEIN . The other staff members were ok. But this one waiter was rude. It was...clear he didn't like us to be there, although we were hotel quests. Food was abundant but quality average.

My experience was service Excellence delivered with pana... read more I write this review purely to commend the service I received from Wolfgang at the Weinstube restaurant. My experience was service Excellence delivered with panache and friendliness. Wolfgang went out of his way to meet every customers need and I felt he anticipated our needs...before any request. I travel to all parts of the world and always find Germany not to be a customer focused one, but Wolfgang sets a precedent to be reckoned with. The Hilton Mainz has an asset with him serving at their hotel.
