Weinhaus Wilhelmi - Mainz

Visited this place with my wife and my colleague (we are here on business trip) today. It seems that this small and cozy restaurant with a warm atmosphere in the evening hours is almost always very busy, especially on Fridays and weekends. If you want to visit, make sure you call them a day or two before the date. The place itself is great. The food is fantastic and the wine from local vineyards is wonderful. My advice is that if you do not order locally in the area and you appreciate wine in every degree, do yourself a favor and do not order beer wine! You won't regret it. The menu lists prices of many different wines for glass (200ml), but you can order a bottle if you wish, just ask the waiter for the price. The service we received was very good. It'll be back.

Perfect place for a genuine German restaurant experience. Local patrons. Upstairs has an impressive collection of medals and military artifacts. If you do not speak German — good luck. They reluctantly handed over an English menu and first gave us the most unattractive table near the kitchen entrance. But rectified when we commented. I left like a tourist in Japan not Japanese? Go to the back where we can hide you. If you are a vegetarian you picked the wrong place. If you want fish, you picked the wrong place. This is a German restaurant full stop.

Das Weinhaus strahlt urige Mainzer Gemütlichkeit aus. Das Essen ist regional typisch und preislich absolut im Rahmen. Es gibt eine große Auswahl hauptsächlich deutscher Weine. Außerdem bietet eine Tageskarte immer wieder saisonale Speisen und Getränke. Es lohnt sich für einen schönen Abend mit Freunden oder der Familie. Die kleine Terrasse bietet sich im Sommer an. Im Erdgeschoss sitzt man gemütlich - aber etwas eng.
